Private Transport from Medellín to Hacienda Nápoles (Round Trip)

How the day works
- 7:00 am: pickup. Your driver picks you up at your hotel or Airbnb anywhere in Medellín.
- The drive (about 3 hours). You head east toward Doradal, in the municipality of Puerto Triunfo. The park is at kilometer 165 of the Medellín–Bogotá highway. Want to stop to eat on the way? Stop wherever you like; meals are at your own cost.
- Your day at the park. We drive you to the park entrance and cover the vehicle entry fee. You explore at your own pace with the passes you bought. There's no guide; your driver waits for you.
- Back to Medellín (about 3 hours). When you're ready to leave, within park hours, your driver takes you back to your hotel or Airbnb.
Your driver speaks Spanish. WhatsApp or a translation app works well for simple messages, and we can help on WhatsApp in English.

The price is per vehicle, for the whole day, and it's the same for pickups in Envigado and Sabaneta: pickup, the drive both ways, and your driver waiting at the park. We pick the vehicle by group size, and the maximum is 8 people. You pay the full price online when you book, plus a 3.5% card fee. Policy: no cancellations or refunds; you can reschedule with at least 7 days' notice.
What's included and what isn't
- Included: private vehicle for your group, Spanish-speaking driver, round trip Medellín – Hacienda Nápoles, tolls, and the park's vehicle entry fee (30,000 COP per day).
- Optional: baby seat, 80,000 COP (one available, for children up to 5 years old). Add it when you book.
- Not included: park passes, food and drinks, the park's internal train (2,000–3,000 COP per person per day, per the park), attractions the park charges separately, and a guide.

Park passes: which one to buy
Park passes aren't included. Buy them on the official Hacienda Nápoles store. The park recommends buying at least a day ahead (by 5 pm); otherwise you can buy at the ticket office. These are the 2026 passes as listed on the store on October 10, 2026. The park sets these prices, and they can change.

- The lower price in each range is the child rate, for children 1.19 m tall or shorter, who must be with an adult.
- Some extras aren't in any pass, such as karts, the arcade and bumper boats in Parque Congo.
- Since this is a day trip, Básico or Safari usually makes the most sense; Premium covers 3 days.
Opening days and hours
Per the park's official hours page, in low season it opens Wednesday to Sunday and on holiday Mondays, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and closes on regular Mondays and Tuesdays for maintenance. In high season it opens every day. Water attractions have shorter hours. The park says hours can change without notice, so check before you go. Our Nápoles transport runs Wednesday to Sunday.

Hacienda Nápoles history in brief
Hacienda Nápoles is tied to one of the most violent periods in Colombia's history; this summary is here so you know what you're visiting, not to glorify anyone. Pablo Escobar and his cousin Gustavo Gaviria put the estate together in 1978, with a private zoo that included hippos. After Escobar was killed in 1993, the state seized the property, and the central core went to the municipality of Puerto Triunfo in 2005. The theme park was built there from 2007. Escobar's hippos have since spread through the Magdalena River basin, and Colombia's Ministry of Environment treats them as an invasive species.
