Anyone who’s visiting Medellin will have plenty of ways to occupy their time. There are Medellin tours, museums and parks, and enough local cuisine to keep any foodie busy for days. However, some people decide to spend some time away from the city to enjoy the beauty of the region’s natural surroundings. In this case, glamping could be just the ticket. If you’re unfamiliar with the term, it’s a combination of “glamor” and “camping”. Glamping may be partly named after camping, but the two things are actually pretty different. Essentially, glamping is where you stay in top-notch accommodations that just happen to be tents or domes, and that come with scenic views and a variety of amenities. If you’re staying in some of Medellin’s best glamping sites, you could enjoy amenities like chef-prepared meals, kayaking, massages, jacuzzis, and more.

What is glamping?2023-07-18T09:37:00+00:00

Glamping is a much more of a luxurious experience and way to enjoy the outdoors and nature; the word comes from the combination of the words: “glamour and “camping”.

Imagine experience the nature with the luxuries of a five star hote (kitchen, living room and all the utensils found in a common house, you will also have electricity and gas).

Campers can enjoy amenities such as Jacuzzi, air conditioning, large beds and gourmet meals while living in nature.

What is the difference between camping and glamping?2023-07-18T09:18:18+00:00

Glamping and camping is a type of lodging which is always done outdoors in different destinations in the world.

Its objective is to openly connect with nature in a unique and luxurius way, and at the same time explore new locations. Glamping is a much more luxurious experience than camping, with amenities such as heated tents, furniture and even king-size beds.

Camping is an outdoor recreational activity that consists of spending nights outdoors (it is a more rustic experience), usually in a campsite that involves sleeping in a tent and cooking over a fire.
